Glenwood Regional Medical Center of West Monroe, Louisiana and Skylight Healthcare Systems will be conducting real-time demonstrations of the hospital's new Skylight ACCESS® Interactive Patient Care System. The system provides patients with personalized in-room health information, education and interactive services – the only system of its kind in Northern Louisiana. Glenwood Regional Center's CEO, Ron Elder, Sharon Lewis, CNO and Skylight President and CEO David Schofield will be available for interviews. The new system provides Glenwood's patients and families an extensive patient health education library and easy-to-use interface, plus a wealth of interactive services that include several entertainment options. The ACCESS system enhances the patient experience by providing them the ability to become more informed about their condition to support a more complete recovery. ACCESS also benefits patients by giving them the ability to submit direct service requests, provide realtime feedback, and enjoy countless other features—all at the patient's bedside using simple commands on a TV remote control through the convenience of the inroom television.
When: Thursday, September 2nd from 10:00am until 11:00am

Typical results from hospitals using Skylight have shown that after launch and deployment of the ACCESS system, overall patient satisfaction scores have risen by 8 percent, while patient satisfaction with health education offerings increased by as much as 42 percent. Other results include quicker access to patient education sessions – reduced from 15 minutes to three minutes – which dramatically increases care coordinating and the time clinicians can provide care directly at the patient bedside. The real-time feedback and service alert functionality gives hospitals the benefit of building better relationships with patients by immediately identifying and responding to patient satisfaction priorities which also dramatically reduces the level of non-clinical call light volume.
"Patients expect more than outstanding clinical outcomes; they want excellent service in every hospital encounter," stated Ron Elder, CEO. "Combining our unsurpassed clinical quality and compassionate care with the latest in-room technology will empower our patients to partner in their own care and encourage continued positive connections between patients and caregivers." "Acknowledged as standard bearer for quality care and the delivery of advanced healthcare in Northern Louisiana, we are pleased to have been selected by Glenwood as their provider of choice for interactive patient care," said David Schofield, President and CEO of Skylight Healthcare Systems. "Our partnership demonstrates Glenwood's deep level of commitment to providing the very best patient care patient experience, providing the highest quality of health care services, and building positive, ongoing relationships between the hospital and the people they serve."
